Petition to Orphan's Court of Chester County, PA:
To the Honourable Justices of the Orphans Court to be held at Chestr for
the County of Chester this 15th day of March 1742/43. The petition of Robert
Anderson humbly showeth that whereas your petitioner having lately married the
widdow of Thomas White, deceased which has three small children which are not
yet arrived to the age to choose guardians for themselves & therefore your
petitioner prays that your Honours will be pleased to take the affare in your
consideration that guardian may be chosen to take care of said orphans and
your petitioner as in duty will ever pray. /signed/ Robert Anderson

The records show that Robert Anderson was appointed guardian for Jane, Thomas,
and John White, minor children of Thomas White, deceased, with James Love and
James Graham as Anderson's securities, on Mar 15 1742/43.
