Myrtle Beach, S. C. July 27 - Funeral services for Mrs. Ida K. Todd, 88, who died Thursday afternoon at the home of her neice, Mrs. Albert A Springs, on North Ocean Boulevard here after an illness of about 10 days, were conducted here this morning at 11 o'clock at the First Presbyterian church by Rev. C. D. Brearley, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. T. E. Jones, pastor of Myrtle Beach Methodist church. Interment will be in Alleghany Memorial cemetery, Pittsburgy, Pa, Monday morning. A large number of friends, including many from Charlotte, Columbia, Conway, and other cities, attended with numerous floral offerings attesting to the high esteem and affection in which Mrs. Todd was held.
Honorary pallbearers where Charles and Robert Coker, Harry Spooner, Dr. M. H. Rourk, Dr. W. A. Rourk, Dr. J. A. Sasser, Dick Sligh, John A. McLeod, Frank Burroughs, John Seibels, Edwin Seibels, Joe C. Ivey, F. F. Southern, James Byran, George Trask, W. Bedford Moore, Dr. Robert Gibbs, W. N. Cromley, Baron von Boetzeloes and Julian Robinson. Active pallbearers were Wilson and David Springs, Joe McLeod, Duncan McLeod, Roddy Rourt and Laddy Brearley.
Born and reared in Pittsburgh, Mrs. Todd moved to Myrtle Beach about 16 years ago. She was the widow of Dr. Frank L. Todd, physician and surgeon of Pittsburgh. An accomplished musician, she came by her musical ability naturally, her father, the late Henry Kleber, being a noted piano manufacturer and musician. She possessed a friendly, gentle disposition.
