Research Notes:
patented over four hundred acres of land in now Ohio County, West Va., in the southeast corner of the county and adjoining the Pennsylvania line. On this land, which fell to David Stewart, he and his wife lived, prospered, and raised eight children to maturity, two dying in infancy [Ref: Eagleson BYERS p22]
