She possessed a soprano voice of great beauty, power and range. Although the only formal vocal training which she had received was limited to that which she obtained as a student at Washington Seminary, yet her performances were almost professional. From childhood until her poor health forc3ed her to become inactive, she sang in choirs of the churches of which she was a member. At one time she was soprano soloist of a Presbyterian church in Columbus, Ohio. Since her husband had a very fund baritone voice, together they sang in the West Alexander church choir and appeared in concerts in neighboring communities. Mr. Moore, too, sang in the West Alexander church choir from his early teens until frail health forced him to retire in his late seventies. [Ref: BlayneyCO BLAYNEY p298]
