EDGAR - Friends of Dorothy B. Edgar of The Meadows, Claysville, who died Friday, July 19, 1963, will be received in the Ray A. Brownlee Funeral Home, Claysville, Saturday, July 20 from 7 to 9p.m., and on Sunday, July 21, from 12 until 4 p.m., when the body will be removed to the Ferrell Funeral Home, West Alexander, where friends will be received on Sunday, July 21 from 7 until 9 p.m. Services will be held in the Ferrell Funeral Home Monday, July 22 at 1:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. John B. Hawes, pastor of West Alexander United Presbyterian Church. Interment in West Alexander Cemetery. Dorothy B. Edgar
Dorothy B. Edgar, 61, of The Meadows, Claysville, died unexpectedly in her home Friday, July 19, 1963, at 4:30 a.m.
She was born Sept 27, 1901 in West Alexander, a daughter of the late Elija and Emma Todd Moore.
Mrs. Edgar was a life-long member of the United Presbyterian Church, West Alexander and a member of the Westminster Missionary Society.
She lived in West Alexander from her birth until a few years ago when she moved to Claysville.
She was married to Charles V. Edgar Aug 18, 1926.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Virginia, wife of Robert Gebhardt, Valley Grove, W. Va.; a step-daughter, Evelyn, wife of Howard Naeseth, Panama City, Fla.; a step-son, Everett Edgar, of Washington, and four grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased. [Ref: WashingtonPA Observer 7/20/1963]
