is based on a letter from Vern Hoffman, dated 27 Nov 1985, printed in [Ref:
Slentz HOFFMAN p52]
identified in a 1987 letter by Freda Byrd, published in the Bowsher Family
newsletter, based on "(Fisher Record)" (Byrd HARPSTER). Fisher is presumably
Charles A Fisher, who compiled numerous books about early Pennsylvania
