Will dated 30 May 1818, pro 16 Nov 1818:
In the Name of God Amen. I Frederick Harpster of Decatur township Mifflin County and in the State of Pennsylvania, yeoman, Being feeble and sick in my body but of good and sound mind memory and understanding, thanks be to God for the same, and calling to mind the mortality of my body, Do make this my Last Will and Testament. First of all I recommend my immortal Soul in the home of the Almighty Body to the earth to be buried in a Decent and Christian like manner and the expense thereof to be paid out of my Estate by my executor herein after mentioned.
I order that my beloving wife Susanna Harpster is to have and to hold all the land and household furniture or what ever Property we both own at Present, Horses and Cows and Sheep Hogs that is to Say what ever we own to our Name, and the said beloved wife is to keep all the Children with her at home and use them as before with Clothing and learning(?) and after her Death each one of the Children to have an equal share alike from oldest to youngest to be given by the same But if the Susannah Harpster marries then She is done with the real property
I hereby Nominate Constitute and appoint my beloing Wife Susanna and I Saul Gills both of Decatur township Mifflin County and State aforewaid to be the exr of this my last will and testament and to see the same done and performed according to my true intent and . In witness I the said Frederick Harpster have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 30th day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred eighteen.
Signed Sealed performed and Delivered by the Testator as his Last Will and testament who at his request have set unto set our names as witnesses to the same. Jacob Yeater,
Mifflin County SS. Before me David Milliken Register for the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for said county, personally appeared subscribing witnesses to the annexed instrument of writing, purporting to be the testament and last will of Frederick Harpster late of Decatur township, deceased. And being duly sworn do say that they were personally present and did hear the testator therein named Frederick Harpster deceased, acknowledge the instrument thereunto annexed to be his. That they heard the said testator acknowledge the said instrument of writing to be his last will and testament - that the said testator was then of sound or disposing mind and memory as they and each of them verily believe - that they wrote their names thereto in witnesses in the presence of the said testator at his the said testators request and in the presence of each other.

Mifflin County SS. Before me David Milliken Register for the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for said county, Personally appeared Susanna Harpster and S... Gills the executor named in the testament and last will of Frederick Harpster late of Decatur township, deceased. And being duly affirmed do say that they will well and truly administer all and singular the good, chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said Frederick Harpster, deceased, agreeably to the said testament and last will. That they will make or cause to be made an accurate inventory or conscionable appraisement thereof, and exhibit the same into the Register's office in and for the said county. That they will make a just and true account, calculation and reckoning of their said administration in one year from this time or when they unto lawfully required.
