Rue Harpster Marshall, eighty, 2140 Gladstone Court, died this morning at
Hamot Medical Center.
Born in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Alice Miller
Harpster. She had lived in Erie since 1942, and had worked as costume
designer for the Black Holls Passion Play for eight years. She was a memer of
the Daughters of the American Revolution and a life member of the Daughters of
Union Veterans. She was a Red Cross volunteer during World War II. She had
been active in Golden Age circles.
She was a widow of Harry H. Marshall.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. L. M. (Lucille) Denning, and Mrs.
Norman (Pauline) Chase, both of Erie; one son, Harry H. Marshall Jr.,
Monroeville, Pa.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Bailey Funeral Home, 2607 Buffalo Road,
Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm, where services will be conducted Saturday at
10 a.m. with the Rev. Barry Lewis, Simpson United Methodist Church,
oficiating.
