Township of Colerain in the County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania
yeoman and Elinor his wife of the one part and Hugh Wilson his sone of the
same Township County and State aforesaid yeoman of the other part, Witnesseth
that the said Thomas Wilson and Elinor his wife for and in consideration of
the sum of one thousand six hundred pounds specie or hard money lawful money
of Pennsylvania to them in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery
hereof by the said Hugh Wilson the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge
themselves fully satisfied and from every part and parcil thereof do release
and discharge the said Hugh Wilson his heirs and assigns by these presents
have granted bargained and sold aliended released and confirmed and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell alien release and confirm unto the said
Hugh Wilson heirs and assigns All that the improvement, plantation and tract
of land conveyed to the said Thomas Wilson by a certain Daniel McClelan by a
Bill of Sale bearing date the twelfth day of October one thousand seven

thousand seven hundred and eighty four by and between Hugh Wilson in and of
the Township of Colerain County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania of the
one part and Samuel McClelan and John Patterson of the above said Township
County and State executors of the last will and Testament of Thomas Wilson
late of said county deceased, Witnesseth that for good and sundry causes an
divers reasons him moveing thereunto and also for the good and sufficient
security of the payment full and final discharge of seven hundred twenty pound
good money due by him the said Hugh Wilson to him the above named Thomas
Wilson being the residue and remainder of twelve hundred pounds due by him the
said Hugh Wilson to the said Thomas Wilson by virtue of twelve several bonds
conditioned for the payment of one hundred pound each (forty pound in each and
every bond being canceled) bearing date the 31 day of January in the year of
our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty one and to be paid at twelve
equal annual payments of sixty pounds each payment the first to be paid the
first day of September one thousand seven hundred and eighty three and now due
and the second bond due the first day of September in the year one thousand
seven hundred and eighty four and sixty pounds annually every first day of
September until the said seven hundred and twenty pounds shall be fully
discharged and which said bonds are in the hands and under the administration
of them the above named Samuel McClelan and John Patterson and to be by them
collected and recovered for the sole and only purpose of discharging all
legacies and bequeathments paying all just debts of him the above named Thomas
Wilson deceased, and defraying the necessary expence accruing therefore for
the good and perfect security of the just and faithful discharge of the above
recited seven hundred and twenty pound and for other good causes as aforesaid
he the said Hugh Wilson hath granted bargained and sold aliened enfeoffed
released and confirmed and by these presents do bargain and sell alien enfeoff
release and confirm unto them the said John McClelan and John Patterson their
heirs and assigns all and singular that plantation and tract of land whereon
he the said Hugh Wilson now dwells or is in possession of situate laying or
being in the aforesaid township of Colerain adjoining lands late of William
McKneelys and said Hugh Wilson's other land John Patterson Samuel McClelen and
others containing two hundred and thirty one acres of land with the usual
allowance of six per cent be the same more or less and which is held by him
the said Wilson by a deed of conveyance from Thomas Wilson bearing date the 31
day of January one thousand seven hundred and eighty one and also all
buildings and improvements the reversion and reversions remainder and
remainders rents an d services profits and commodities of all and singular the
said premises above mentioned and of every part and parcel thereof with the
appurtenances thereunto belonging unto them the said Samuel McClelen and John
Patterson their heirs and assigns for ever, Provided always and upon
condition that if the above mentioned Hugh Wilson his heirs executors
administrators or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid
unto them the said Samuel McClelan and John Patterson their heirs executors
administrators and assigns or either of them the said sum of seven hundred and
twenty pounds due and becoming due as severally mentioned in the above recited
bonds then these presents and every thing herein contained shall cease
determine and be void any thing herein contained to the contrary
notwithstanding, And the said Hugh Wilson for himself his heirs and assigns
doth covenant and grant to and with the said Samuel McClelan and John
Patterson their executors and administrators and assigns that he the said Hugh
Wilson and his assigns shall and will well and truly pay or cause to be paid
unto them the said Samuel McClelen and John Patterson their executors
administrators or assigns the said full sum of seven hundred and twenty pound
in the time and manner aforementioned according to the true intent and meaning
of these presents and also in case of failure shall be made that they the said
Samuel McClelen and John Patterson their executors administrators or assigns
shall and may at all times after default in paying the above said bonds or any
of them peaceable and quietly enter into have hold occupy possess and enjoy
all and singular the above land and premises mentioned and every part and
parcel thereof with the appurtenances without the lest hindrance molestation
interruption and denial of him the said Hugh Wilson his heirs and assigns and
of all and every person or persons whatsoever, And further that he the said
Hugh Wilson and his heirs and all and every other person or persons and his
and their heirs any thing having or claiming in the land and premises above
mentioned or any part thereof shall and will at any time or times after
default shall be made in the performance of the above condition or any part
thereof make do and execute all such further and such other rights grants and
assurances as shall assure and confirm the above mentioned premises and every
part thereof unto them the said Samuel McClelen and John Patterson their heirs
and assigns forever, yet always subject to all demands and arrearages to the
state, And lastly it is covenanted granted concluded and agreed upon by and
between the said parties to these presents that until default shall be made in
performance of the conditions aforesaid he the said Hugh Wilson his heirs and
assigns shall and may hold possession and enjoy the above mentioned premises
and all the issues rents profits and benefits of the same any thing herein
contained to the contrary notwithstanding. In witness whereof he the said
Hugh Wilson hath set his hand and seal the day and year above written. Hugh

Pennsylvania to us in hand paid or by Bonds secured by Robert Patterson of the
same place at and before the execution hereof the receipt and payment whereof
is hereby acknowledge, have granted bargained and sold and by these presents
do grant bargain and sell unto the said Robert Patterson his heirs and assigns
All that certain improvement or piece of land whereon he the said Patterson
now lives, situate as above and bounded as follows, viz, Beginning at a
Chestnut on the line of Joseph Griffith thence by the same S 40 E 47 perches
to a black oak, thence S 24 E 33 perches to a post, thence by other land of
the said Wilson S 66 W 8 perches to a post, thence N 24 W 33 perches to a
post, thence N 40 W 47 perches to a post, thence N 66 E 6 perches to the place
of beginning, Containing four acres (being part of a tract of land which was
conveyed to him the said Hugh Wilson for a valuable consideration by his
Father Thomas Wilson as by his Indenture bearing date the 31st day of January
