Jan 24 1839: The petition of the minor children of Isaac Marshall Decd praying
to have guardian appointed. Whereupon the Court appoint Joseph Wilson and
Russel Marshall the said guardians to gie bone in the sum of $300. Bond given
with sufficient ___ and appointment due bond filed. Bond signed by Russel

Feb 13 1839: Petition of Andrew Wilson for the appointment of a guardian for
the minor children of Isaac P Marshall of North Shenango, decd, to wit Russel
Aldinus, Joseph Mark, and Mary. Whereupon the Court appoint Joseph

Apr 19 1840: The petition of Russel A Marshall, respectfully, asserts that he
is a minor child of Isaac P Marshall aboe the age of 14 years, and has no

This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord
one thousand Eight hundred and fifty three Between Russel A. Marshall of N.
Shenango Township and Rachel his wife of the first part and Thomas Willson of
the aforesaid place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and eight
dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said
party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, Have granted, bargained,
sold, assigned, released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant,
bargain, sell, assign, release, and confirm to the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns all that their right, title, claim, and interest as
heirs at law of Isaac P. Marshall to that piece or parcel of land (being the
one third part) lying in and being in North Shenango Township and described as
follows. Beginning at the south west corner at a Hickory, thence by land of
Joseph Willson north eighty four and five tenth perches to a post, thence by
land of Alexander Espy East one hundred fifty one and five tenth perches to a
post, thence by land of Alexander south eighty five and five tenth perches to
a post, thence by land of Alexander West one hundred and fifty one and five
tenth perches to the place of beginning, containing seventy six acres and
sixty three perches of land, be the same more or less, being part of a larger
tract of land originally surveyed on a warrant in the name of Henry Sherer and
by sundry conveyances since became vested in the heirs of Isaac P. Marshall.
Together with all and singular the hereditaments and premises thereunto
belonging and the revisions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits
thereof, to have and to hold all and singular the said piece or parcel of land
hereditaments and premises hereby granted and conveyed, with the appurtenances
to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to the use of the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said
parties of the first part and their heirs, all and singular, the above
tgranted and described piece or parcel of land, hereditaments and premises,
with the appurtenances, to the said party of the second part, his heirs and
assigns, against the said parties of the first part and their heirs and
against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same
or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these
presents. In witness thereof, the said parties of the first part to these
presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above

Crawford County SS: Before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the
Peace in for the county aforesaid personally appeared the above named Russell
A. Marshall and Rachel his wife the grantor above named and acknowledged the
above written instrument to be their act and deed, and desired that the same
might be recorded as such, and she the said Rachel Marshall being of lawful
age, by me examined separate and apart from her said husband, and the contents
of the said Indenture having been first made fully known to her, declared that
she did of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed
deliver the same without compulsion or coercion of or from her said husband.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty ninth

This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty seven, between Russell Marshall and Rachel
his wife of the Township of North Shenango in the County of Crawford State of
Pennsylvania of the first part and Russell Marshall of the same place of the
second part, witnesseth, that the said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of one hundred and ten dollars to them in hand paid
by the party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
have granted, bargained, sold, released, and confirmed and by these presets to
grant, bargain, sell, release, and confirm unto the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns all that undivided third part of a lot of land in
North Shenango Township County and State aforesaid, bounded as follows,
beginning at a post in the line on the South bank of Mill Run thirty nine
perches from the Cherry tree corner of the mill tract thence South twenty one
perches to a post thence west eight perches to a post thence South ten perches
to a post thence East eight perches to a post thence South thirty nine perches
to a post thence West eighteen perches to a post thence north sixty seven
perches to a post thence eastwardly along the edge of the waters of said mill
run to the place of beginning, containing six acres more or less, Together
with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances as thereunto
belonging and the remainder and reversions and issues and profits thereof to
have and to hold the premises hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the use of the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, and the said party of
the first part and their heirs the premises hereby granted with the
appurtenances against all and every person or persons whatsoever lawfully
claiming or to claim the same or any thereof to the said party of the second
part their heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by
these presents. In witness thereof the said parties to these prsents have
herein set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above
