Honor of Earl of Hereford transferred from Brien Fitz Count or of Wallingford,

before Oct 16 1119, being then possessed of the honour of Abergavenny (i.e.
Over Gwent), which he held either by grant to him and his wife, Maud, Lady of
Wallingford, or else solely in her right. According to an inquisition, she

Buried in the chapter house of Llanthony Priory outside Gloucester, which
he had founded. This was the priory founded to receive those who had fled from
the old priory of Llanthony in Monmouthshire, which, however, still continued.
The new Llanthony and the Abbey of Gloucester disputed about his body, and the
dispute was determined by Simon, Bishop of Worcester. The monks of Gloucester
consented that the body should be buried at Llanthony at the request of the
Bishop of Worcester, Hereford and St. Davids, and of Roger, the dead Earl;s
son, on condition that Llnathony granted to Gloucester that they would not
receive for burial the said Roger or his wife, their heirs or any lord of
Gloucester Castle of anyone soever dying therein without the leave of the
Abbot of Gloucester (28 Dec 1143). In the chapter house at the head of Miles
were buried three of his sons, Roger, Earl of Hereford and Constable of
England, his brother Henry, lord of Brecknick and also Constable of England,
his brother Michel, also Constable of England; on the right of Miles was
buried his wife Sibyl, who after his death entered into religion in the said
house; and on her right hand the worhipful Matron of Llanthony, Lady Margaret,
