that there were only two Henry d'Oillys is proven by a number of contemporary records, but especially a pedigree extracted from the 1225 curia regis roll [Ref: Bevan DD++ p621]

most convincing evidence of only two Henry d'Oillys is that in 1225 Henry impleaded William Basset, son of John, son of Osmund, for half a knight's fee in Ipsden, Oxon, and gave a pedigree in the suit: Rob'tus - Henricus - Henricus nunc petens [Ref: Rosie Bevan SGM 5/31/2003-061931]

1166: answered for 32 1/2 knights' fees de veteri and for circa 1 1/2 de novo [Ref: Sanders Baronies p54(3)]
