----- Master John Todd celebrated his eighth birthday last Tuesday. After school Rev. and Mrs. J.M. (James Morillo) Todd took John's Sunday School class in the auto to the woods for a picnic. There the youngsters were turned loose to gather nuts and each one secured a nice sack full. After this a big fire was built and the enjoyed a "weinie" roast and were served with ice cream cones.
Altogether it was a most delightful picnic and will be long remembered by the little folks. [Ref: HumboltKS Union 9/19/1912]
