1153: Richard, Bishop of Coutances, confirmed a grant to Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte by Peter (fitz William) de Brus made at the instance of his lord and cousin Adam de Brus [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p355]

apparently of age in 1155, and married to Jueta de Arches he would hae been 35 and more. He would have undoubtedly had a previous wife or wives, but of that there is no record. It cannot be discounted that Adam had earlier female issue, possibly Lucy wife of William de Hommet, Constable of Normandy [Ref: Bevan Brus p9, Bevan Brus p9(18)]
