Arthur M. Todd AUBURN -- Arthur M. Todd died at his home on Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Arthur was born June 25, 1940, near Dover. He was the son of Charles C. and Nora M. Rogers Todd. He graduated from Dover High School in 1958 and Kansas State University in 1962 with a degree in Agronomy. He married Cleota M. Kurtz September 3, 1961 at Westmoreland. Arthur was a farmer near Valley Center, KS from 1962 until 1973 at which time he moved back to the home place between Dover and Auburn and continued to farm the Todd Century Farm until his death. He served as a board member for the Shawnee County Extension and Shawnee County Soil Conservation. He was a 4-H leader for several years and he was a member and Elder of the Auburn Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Nora Todd and sisters Elnora Todd and Zelma Rathje. Arthur is survived by his wife Cleota, a son Paul Todd, Auburn, KS; two daughters, Cathy Emig and her husband Roger of Texas Creek, CO; Joyce Princ and her husband Doug, Lucas, KS; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Chester, David, Floyd and Phillip Todd all of Maple Hill, and a sister Margaret Ann Briant, Topeka. Mr. Todd will lie in state Friday December 2, 2005 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd. Topeka, KS 66614, where the family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Auburn Christian Church. Burial will be in Dover Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission and American Lung Association, or charity of donors choice sent in care of the funeral home.
