apparently some connection of the Rev Nicholas Stanton of Ipswich, Suffolk, England; a clause in his will dated 9 Nov 1648 proved 14 Feb 1649 reads "To Joseph Moyse or his wife, living in New England, forty shillings" [Ref: Holman PILLSBURY p507]
