This Indenture made the fourth day of February in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighteen between George Denniston and Nancy his wife of Springfield Township Mercer County and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and William Orr of the Township County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said George and Nancy his wife for an in consideration for one hundred and fifty Dollars to them in hand paid by the said William at and before the Ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof they doth hereby acknowledge and thereof quit and forever discharge the said William his heirs Executors and administrators by these presents hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said William his heirs and assigns the following described tract and parcel of land to wit, Situate in the Township of Springfield in the County of Mercer aforesaid and bounded as follows beginning at a black oak and running South Eighty eight degrees West one hundred and seventy four perches to a Shugartree thence South two degrees East Sixty five and five tenths perches to a post thence North eighty eight degrees East seventy one perches to a post thence North Two degrees West twelve perches to a post thence north eighty eight degrees East two perches to a white oak thence south two degrees East twelve perches to a post thence North Eighty Eight degrees East Sixty three perches to a post thence South two degrees East twenty nine and eight tenth perches to a post thence North eighty Eight degrees East thirty eight perches to a post thence north two degrees West ninety five and three tenths perches to the place of beginning, Containing seventy three acres and one hundred and twenty four perches with the allowance of six percent, being that tract surveyed in pursuance of a Warrant for four hundred acres in the name of William Rodger and dated the 14th April 1792 which was patented by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania John Field William Crammons and James Gibson by patent dated the 6th December 1799 entered in Book No 41 page 227 and Conveyed by the said John Fields William Crammond and James Gibson trustees of the Pennsylvania Plantation with other Land to Robert Bawne in trust for said Company by Indenture dated the 31st day of October 1811 and Recorded in Mercer County Book D page 512, and Conveyed by the said Robert Bowne trustee and James Gibson and other Managers of said Company to Paul Bush by Indenture dated the 22nd day of April 1815 which last mentioned Indenture was assigned by the said Paul Buste to the said Thomas Astley the 24th June 1815 and recorded in said County in Book D page 55 and being the Same land which the said George Denniston agreed to purchase from the Pennsylvania Population Company by agreement dated the 2nd day of October 1810 and hereby granted in pursuance of said agreement to the said George Denniston by Indenture dated 22nd day of February 1816 and Recorded in Said County in deed book D page 412 and 13 together with all and singular other the houses out houses building barn stables ways wood waters water courses rights liberties privileges heriditements and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise apertaining and the Revertions and Remainders rents issues profits thereof and also all the Estate right title Interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said George Dennisoton and Nancy his wife in law and Equity or otherwise howsoever of in to or out of the Same to have and to hold the said Messuage and tract of Seventy three acres and one hundred and twenty four perches with the allowance of six percent hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with appurtenants unto the said William Orr his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said William Orr his heirs and assigns for ever against us the said George Denniston and Nancy his wife our heirs and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the same by from through or under them or any of them Shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. Upon the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture we the subscribers did receive from William Orr one hundred and fifty Dollars being in full of the foregoing consideration. Witnesses our hands and seals. George Denniston. Nancy Denniston.
February the 20th 1818. Before me Andrew Denniston one of the Justices of the Peace for Mercer County in the Township of Slipperyrock personally came the above named George Denniston and Nancy Denniston his wife and the said George did then and there acknowledge in due form of law that he signed and sealed and for his act and deed delivered the above deed and desired that the same be recorded as Such, and the Said Nancy his wife being by me in due form of law examined separate and apart from her said husband and the full contents of the foregoing deed being by me first made known to here she the said Nancy after examination as aforesaid declared that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord seal and as her act and deed deliver the said deed without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband in testimony whereof I the said Andrew Dennison have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written. This Indenture made the twenty ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four Between William Orr Senior and Mary his wife of the Township of Springfield County of Mercer and State of Pennsyulvania of the first part and Elias Orr of the place aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the party of the second part at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and discharge the said party of the second part his heirs and administrators by these presents have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents to grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said Elias Orr and to his heirs and assigns all that messuage or parcel of land situate in the township aforesaid Bounded as follows Beginning at a Sugar tree Stump, thence South two degrees East sixty four and five tenths perches to a post thence North eighty eight degrees east seventy one perches to a post, thence North two degrees west twelve perches to a post thence North eighty eight degrees East two perches to a White oak thence South two degrees East twelve perches to a post thence North eighty eight degrees East fifty perches to a post thence North two degrees West sixty five and five tenths perches to a post thence South eighty eight degrees west one hundred and twenty three perches to the place of beginning Containing fifty acres more or less being a part of a tract Surveyed in pursuance of a Warrant for four hundred acres in the name of William Rediges and dated the 14th of April 1793 which was patented by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to John Field William Grammond and james Gibson by Patent dated the 6th December 1799 Enrolled in Book No 46 page 229 and by sundry conveyances conveyed to the said William Orr Senior, Together with all and Singular the buildings improvements ways water courses rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof, And also all the rights title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said party of the first part in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in to or out of the same, To Have and to Hold the said Messuage of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or intended to be with the appurtenances unto the said Elias Orr his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Elias Orr his heirs and assigns forever. This Indenture Made and concluded by Deed Between James Orr and Elizabeth his wife of the State of Ohio of the first part and William Orr of the second part Ralph Hunter of the third part and Ishmail Grives of the fourth part all of Mercer County Pennsylvania Witnesseth whereas the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Patent bearing date February 14th 1842 granted and conveyed to said James Orr a certain tract of undrawn donation land situate in Mercer County Pennsylvania, being Lot number five hundref and fifteen (515) in the 3 District Containing two hundred fifty four acres one hundred and twenty five perches and allowances as by said Patent more fully appears, and said James Orr drew and held said patent in trust for the said second third and fourth parties hereto although said trust was not stated in said patent. Now in consideration of the Jnembis(?) and for the further consideration of one dollar to the said first party in hand paid by the said second third and fourth parties the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged the said first party has granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed to said second party all the following described piece or parcel of land being part of the tract aforesaid Beginning at a post and Black oak thence South 3 degrees East 58 5/10 perches to a post thence west 94 perches to a post thence south 1 1/2 degrees east 45 perches to a post thence west 164 5/10 perches to a post thence north 1 1/2 degrees west 100 perches to a chestnut thence North 89 degrees East 195 3/10 perches to the place of beginning Containing ninety nine acres twenty six perches strict measure more or less To have and to Hold the same to him the said William Orr his heirs and assigns forever. Mercer County SS: Before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally came John Stephenson and Mary his wife John M Orr and Martha his wife Elias Orr and Margaret his wife William Orr and Elizabeth his wife Daniel Branaman and Jane his wife Mary Jane Drake, Joseph Carlan and Margaret jane his wife William Carlan and Elizabeth his wife and in due form of law acknowledged the foregoing to be their act and deed and the act and deed of each of them. They the said Mary Stephensin, Martha Orr, Margaret Orr, Elizabeth wife of Wm Orr Jane Brenaman Margaret J Carlan and Elizabeth Carlan all being of full age the full contents of said deed by me first made known to them, and by me examined severally separate and apart from their respective husbands all and each for herself did declare that they and each for herself did sign seal and deliver the said deed freely of their own will and accord voluntarily and without coercion or compulsion of their said husbands or of any other person.
