Research Notes:

Aeda has been identified with Adela, abbess of Herford, apparent daughter of count Egbert and St Ida (Hlawitschka 2006, attributing the theory to several authors). The identification does not appear feasible, because Aeda's daughter Oda was said to be of Frankish descent, and Egbert and Ida were Saxons. [Ref: HenryII aeda0000 4/3/2011]
