a grant for the souls of his father,his mother, and his grandmother Beatrice was made by Robert fitz Swein of Essex at his foundation of Prittlewell priory, a cell of the Cluniac abbey of Lewes c.1114. Beatrice was either his mother's mother or the wife of his grandfather Robert fitz Wimarc; the latter is suggested by the fact that everything granted by the charter was in Robert's patrimony. ... It is striking that the charter's first witnesses were Alberic II de Vere and his brother Robert, both sons of recently deceased parents Alberic I de Vere and Beatrice. [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p449]
