called on to pay 100 pounds in relief for Blythborough; he was granted respite of payment for an inquiry to find if he held a whole barony. The result is not known but the pipe roll for Mich 1249 records the payment of 100 pounds relief [Ref: Sanders Baronies p16]

1242/3: may be the Hugh de Cressy who held two fees of Giffard's successor in Chearsley and Policote, Buckinghamshire [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p416]
