Age 11 at father's death. Custody of his lands in the bishopric of Durham was
granted to Ralph de Neville, lord of Raby. [Ref: CP VIII p269]

May 28 1374, at age 17, the death occured of Thomas de THWENG, priest,
survivor of the brothers of Lucy de THWENG. Robert, grandson of Lucy,
was found to be one of the coheirs. [Ref: CP VIII p269]
Other coheirs were John de Hotham, aged 38, son of Maud, dau of Margaret,
sister of Lucy; Isabel, aged 40, dau of Margaret and wife of Walter de
Pedwardine; and Elizabeth, aged 21, dau of Katherine, another sister of Lucy,
and then wife of William de Botreaux [Ref: CP VIII p269(b)]
