Research Notes:
evidence for Stephen de Gaunt's existence is found in a charter dated before
June 1210, in which Stephen's brother, Gilbert de Gaunt, made arrangements for
the marriage of his (Gilbert's) daughter, Juliane, to marry Geoffrey de
Armenters [see Hatton, Book of Seals, pg. 205]. Stephen de Gaunt witnessed
this charter as "Stephano de Gant fratre meo." [Ref: Douglas Richardson SGM

1215-16 (17 John): lands in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire, together with the
manor of Kintone, Warwickshire, were granted to Stephen de Segrave [Ref:
