of the County of Washington and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and the
German Societies of this neighborhood being of the Presbyterian Church
persuation of the same place of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in
consideration of the sum of Five Shillings to each of them in hand paid by the
said German Society at the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have given granted aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and

they signed the within deed of conveyance as their act and deed for the uses
within mentioned and desires that it may be accepted on record as such. The

they freely signed the same without any constraint or coercion of their said

Will of Lawrence Stricker, Washington County Will Book vol 3 p93:
In the name of God Amen. I Lawrence Stricker of Buffaloe Township Washington
County and State of Pennsylvania being weak of boday but of sound mind memory
and judgment and calling to mine one mortality of the boaday and knowing that
it is apointed for all men once to die do make and estables this as my last
will and testment in the form and manor folling to wit I recomend my soul to
God to give it me and my boadey to be intered in the earth in a cristing like
manner at the secration of my Executors herein after maintind and as tuching
my personale property and reail estate that it hath pleased God to bless me
with in this life I will and devise in form and manor follouring first I will
and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife Barbery Stricker my stove roome to
live in for two years after my death and a parte of my orchard and two barels
of sider pir year for two years a quarter of an acer of flexeed swoing per
year and as much of the gardin as she shall think proper to use and twenty
bushells of whaat and twenty bushells of corn per year for the speace of two
years and I allso will unto have one cow and two sheep and my sons is to keep
them sumer and winter while the live on the pleace duering the two years and
the are to geat her greain ground an dborught home to have and have firewood
brought home and made ready for the fire duering the two years and I allso
will unti have all my house hold furnitur and the cow and the sheep to sell
and dessposse of as shee shall think proper I allso will devise and bequeath
that all my real estate be sold at the expration of two years after my death
by my Executors at public seale and the one half of the money to be paid the
first paiment and the remender as my Executors thinks will be beast for the
advansment of the scale I allso will and bequeath that the money that is goten
fro my land what I give to my childen before this time beall colected and
equelly divided among my wife and children I will and bequeath to my wife one
tenth part of the price of my land I allso will and bequeath one parte to my
oldest son Jacob Stricker I allso will and bequeath unto my dughter Elizabeth
Black wife to Samuel Black one tenth part I allso will and bequeath unto
Hannah Hearsh wife to Lucas Hersh his tenth part nevertheless to hath receved
five hundred dollars of her tenth part before my death I allso will and
bequeath unto Marcy Nasscher wife to Abraham Nasscher the tenth part but she
hath receved twenty six dollars before this time I allso will and bequiath
unto my son Danil Stricker the tenth parte nevertheless he hath rec'd ten
hundred dollars of his part before this time I allso will and bequeath unto my
daughter Susann Newesunger wife to John Newsung tenth parte nevertheless she
hath goten one hundred and ninty two dollars before this time I allso will and
bequeath unto my daughter Critenia wife to Philip Hearsh one tenth part but he
hath receved one hundred and five dollars of his part before this date I allso
will and bequeth unto my son William Streaker one tenth part I allso will and
bequeath unto my dughter Ketterin Hearsh wife to Georg Hearsh one tenth part
and I allso alow that all my notes that I have against my childeren be counted
up and colected in the above mentioned legacess there is no intrest to be
colected on my childerens notes and I ordain constutate and apoint Jacob
Wirich and Abraham Beadeluem to execute this as my last will and Testment
making void all other willes heretofore made and estableshing this my last
will and Testment Given under my hand and scale this first day of Aprile in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen. Lawrence

Washington County. Be it remembered that on the twenth fifth day of April
int he year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen, before me
Robert Colinery Deputy Register for the probate of Wills and granting Letters
of Administration in and for said County came, John McMullens Esquire Susannah
Hill and Mary Mollow the subscribing Witnesses to the annexed last Will and
Testament of Lawrence Stricker late of the County aforesaid, deceased, who
being duly sworn as the law directs do depose and say that they were
personally present and did see the Testator therein named sign the same and
did hear him publish pronounce and declare it to be his last Will and
Testament; That at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their
apprehensions of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding; and that
they respectively subscribed their names witnesses to this Will int he
presence and at the request of the Testator and in the presence of each other.
And sworn to and subscribed before me, Jno McMillen, Mary Molloy, Susanna Hill

April 25th 1816. Lettters Testamentary with copy of the will and probate
annexed issued to Jacob Heirish Esquire and Abraham Bedelion the Executors
