contemporary testimony of Movses Xorenats'i makes him father of Khosrov, a king of Armenia [Ref: Settipani LGA p69]

contemporary of emperor Septime Severe that he fought [Ref: Settipani LGA p75]

Movses has confused Valagash V, king of Parthie and father of Khosrov I, with Valagash son of Sanatroukes, king of Armenie c116-136. Thus the reign of 20 years attributed to Volagash V is incorrect. [Ref: Settipani LGA p72]

know practicaly nothing about Vologaises V, but that he is Arsacide is given by the coinage [Ref: Settipani LGA p75]

190/191: succeeded Vologaises IV, perhaps by violence [Ref: Settipani LGA p75]

while it is clear that Armenien historians confused Vologaises I of Armenia (116-136) with Vologais V of Persia (190-207), the definite tradition that the arsacide dynasty is of King Vologaises son of Sanatroukes is without doubt founded [Ref: Settipani LGA p82]

did not succeed as King of Persia rightfully, therefore it seems he is not son of Vologais IV. One could identify Vologaises V King of Persia and brother of a Tiridates with Vologaises, armenien pretendant in 162, and brother Tiridates, armenien satrape in 172. Both of the latter are probable sons of Vologaises I son of Sanatroukes. [Ref: Settipani LGA p82]
