Peters (1931) proposed idea that his reign was contemporary with that of Tiran, one of the Roman part of Armenia, other of the Persian part. But his theory has not been followed by other historians [Ref: Settipani LGA p56]

Toumanoff theory that this Khosrov was returned as King of Western Armenia in 280, according to Movses, the Persian domination lasting 27 years 253-280. [Ref: Settipani LGA p69]

Either son of Trdat II son of Khosrov I son of Valagash V (Toumanoff theory), or son of Valagash V (Chaumont theory). [Ref: Settipani LGA p68]
