probably identity of the anonymous king of 193-195, the father of Trdat II
and "Chosroes Armenien" [Ref: Settipani LGA p69]
link between Chosrose and Vologases is less suspicious, but the important DFA
link is his mother [Ref: Stewart Baldwin SGM 6/8/1996]

genealogy of Khosrov I presernted by the Greek version of Agathangelos has all
the appearances of authenticity. The Greek text, translated from the armenien
abt 505, has the guarantor of a respectible historian, and the translator must
have interpolated his armenien information with the help of Greek sources,
non-contaminated by the armenien "epic". This point is confirmed by the
Byzantine author of 7th century, Procope, that gives the same in a completely
independent way. [Ref: Settipani LGA p70]
Confusion of armenien sources is evident since they have Khosrov contemporary
to Severes (193-211) and also father of Trdat, living in 325. [Ref: Settipani
LGA p71]
brothers Vologaises and Artabanos are given by contemporary Roman authors as
son of Vologaises V, and descendants of Arsakes [Ref: Settipani LGA p75]
Sources of the eighth century and later state that king Rev I of Iberia was
the son of an Armenian king by the daughter of king Pharasmanes III of Iberia.
That the Armenian king in question was Vologases is a conjecture on
Toumanoff's part. Settipani (p. 73) suggests that Pakoros was the Armenian
king who was the father of Rev. So, in order to accept this link [Chosrose to
Pharasmanes III], you have to believe three things: (1) that the *very* late
Iberian sources can be trusted to give accurate information for this period
(despite evidence to the contrary), (2) that Toumanoff's guess (and it is no
more than that) was correct about which king, and (3) that Chosroes of Armenia
was the son of Vologases by the same mother as Rev (therby ignoring the fact
that multiple marriages were the rule rather than the exception). [Ref:
