293: among the kings that recognize the authority of Sassanide Nerseh. Although a romanphile, and opposed to Persia, Trdat wothout doubt did a symbolic act of allegance to Sassanides. Political necessity or personal feelings did not play a part. [Ref: Settipani LGA p71]

birthdate of c280 obtained by amended dates back to council of Nicee [Ref: Settipani LGA p69]

diversity of traditional sources about restoration of Trdat as King of Armenia. Perhaps explained by a series of provisional restorations, in western, then eastern Armenia. The total restoration based on armenien sources is incoherent. Roman sources date it to 286/8 and totality about 298 [Ref: Settipani LGA p70]

314: conversion to Christianity [Ref: Settipani LGA p70]

known to be dead by eighth year of Constantine II, after his nomination as associate caesar in 323 [Ref: Settipani LGA p58]

Armenien history of 3&4 centuries is mainly legendary, too rarely supplying valid sources, roman or iranian. Study of the few contemporary sources has led to a century of multiple interpretations. [Ref: Settipani LGA p66]
