origin of Willa has been conjectured on numerous occasions. The main reasons for suggesting (Rudolf & Willa) would be her Burgundian origin and onomastics, the uncommon name Willa also being the probably name of Rudolf's wife. Although plausible enough, this conjecture lacks proof. [Ref: HenryII willa001 9/20/2008]
