c880-5: by King Alfred's will, bequeathed certain estates in Wessex, including Aldingbourne and Compton in Sussex and Crondall in Hampshire. [Ref: Barlow Godwine p33]

was devised Compton & Crondall by King Alfred the Great [Ref: Weis AR7 #1B]

892: King Alfred gave him another property "aet North Nivetune on afene" identified as North Newnton on the river Avon in Wiltshire. [Ref: Barlow Godwine p33]

887: spoken of in the Chronicle as taking the alms of the king and the West Saxons to Rome [Ref: Barlow Godwine p33]

894: one of the three military leaders who immobilized and defeated the Danes at Buttington [Ref: Barlow Godwine p33]

perhaps to be identified with (1) an Ealdorman of Wiltshire, or (2) an Archbishop of Canterbury who was consecrated in 919 and who died 8 Jan 923. There is no conclusive evidence to support either theory [Ref: Weir RoyalFam p8]
