946-7: will written. clear that he died without issue because all of his possessions, other than gives to the king and the church, were willed to his brothers Eadric and Aethelstan and his nephew Aelfsige, son of his deceased brother Aelfstan [Ref: Barlow Godwine p34]

bequeathed to Aethelstan the land at North Newnton which King Alfred had given in 892 to their grandfather Aethelhelm [Ref: Barlow Godwine p34]
