Boltbury and Harberton, Devon, Dorton, Buckinghamshire, and Little Haw,
Suffolk [Ref: Richardson RoyalAnc v4p615]
coheir of her brother, John Beauchamp, 3rd Lord Beauchamp of Somerset [Ref:

before 1347: as Cecily Turberville, she granted the advowson and reversion of
the manor of Shepton Beauchamp, co Somerset, to Sir Walter Clopton for life,
in return for an annuity of 20. The rent, reversion and advowson was to reamin
to Robert, her son, and his heirs [Ref: Reed SEYMOUR p218(9)]
12 Feb 1362: assienged her purparty of the Barony of Beauchamp of Hatch [Ref:
Reed SEYMOUR p217]
11 Aug 1394: Inq.P.M. (writ dated 11 Jun 17 Rich II) heir was her grandson
Roger, aged 27, son or her deceased son William [Ref: Reed SEYMOUR p218(9)]
heir was her grandson, Roger Seymour, then age 27 [Ref: CP II p50(a)]
The dower assigned to Elizabeth, widow of Thomas, Duke of Norfolk, in the
lordship of Gower 6 July 1400 included Kittlehill (the manor bringing in 78s.
7 1/2d.) and Llandimore, "a third part of the manor, being the ancient dower
of Cecily de Turbervile". This helped lead me to the record I mentioned in the
previous post. An account from local officials in 1400 concerning lands that
had passed into the King's hands during the minority of Thomas Mowbray, heir
of the late Duke of Norfolk, found that rents in Roselly [Rhossili] had been
"coming into the hands of the Lord from the dower of Lady Cicely de St. Maur,
who was the wife of Sir Gilbert Turberville, for the manors of Landymore,
Knythull [Kitehill] and Roselly". [Ref: Paul Reed SGM 4/16/2004-034758]
