a detailed account of the family of Baldwin fitz gilbert in Monasticon, v, p378, only mentions Adelise whose daugher Alice m. Ranulph Avenel. Alice was mother of Maud who m. firstly, Robert d'Avranches and, secondly, Robert, natural son of Henry I [Ref: Sanders Baronies p69(8)]

eventual heiress to her great-grandfather Baldwin, and took this honour of Okehampton, Devon, to her second husband Robert fitz Roy [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p263]
