Research Notes:
1755: living in England with three sons, William, John, and Isaac, when soldiers were being recruited for the French and Indian War. The three sons were all drafted and sent across the ocean to an unwilling service. They took the earliest opportunity after arriving to desert. As a precaution against capture, each took a separate course and as a further precaution they changed the spelling of their names to Reed. [Ref: Rod Reed 11/17/2008]
