Research Notes:
it has been suggested that Alice was daughter of William de la Zouche; no daughter Alice appears in the settlement by William, which seems to include all his children [Ref: CP IX p404(m)]

evidence for this filiation is that John's marriage was granted 10 Jan 1327 to William la Zouche. The William referred to in CP IX p404(m) is William la Zouche of Haryngworth (d.1351/2), but an alternative candidate is William la Zouche of Mortimer (d.1336/7) whose first wife was Alice de Toeni [Ref: CP++(proposed) Multon 7/18/2003 (CP IX p404(m))]
