Lord of Lusignan [Ref: Painter Lusignan-1955 p376]

de-facto Lord of Lusignan from the time of his father's departure for Palestine in 1163 until his death in 1169 [Ref: Painter Lusignan-1955 p375]

a charter to the abbey of Becheron, Hugh de Brun, Lord of Lusignan, frees the monks from paying toll in his lands. His brother Geoffrey consents to the grant as does Lady Burgundia. Attested by Geoffrey his brother who himself grants the same, Simon Brunus, Rorgo, and Galeran his brothers. [Ref: Painter Lusignan-1955 p375]

Mar 16 1169: Geoffrey de Lusignan made a grant to the abbey of Absie for the soul of his brother Hugh. The abbey was to receive 20 solidi of Poitevin money a year from the sales taxes levied at Vouvant to celebrate the anniversary of Hugh's death. The charter was first granted at Lusignan the day after Hugh's funeral, with the consent of Geoffrey's mother Burgundia, and was later confirmed at Vouvant. [Ref: Painter Lusignan-1955 p375]
