1086: tenant of his elder brother Roger [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p264]

received the family lands, which were lost by his brother Roger after the rebellion against Rufus in 1095 [Ref: Sanders Baronies p95]

1096: when Roger was banished, Hugh took over the Lacy lands in Weobley, though most of the honour was subsequently restored to the elder line under Gilbert and his son Robert [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p264]
