Research Notes:
conjectured (12/5/2003) to be daughter of Alexander, Earl of Menteith, based in part on the dispensation for her daughter Margaret's marriage to John Stewart (related in the 4th degree); identification stated by Andrew B.W. MacEwen as proved (11/26/2006) [Ref: John Ravilious SGM 11/26/2006-224020]

In speaking with Andrew B.W. MacEwen this evening, he has advised me that he has found conclusive evidence that the lady in question was in fact a daughter of Earl Alexander of Menteith. He further stated that her identification as 'Lady Margaret de Abrenythy', a lady of the court of Queen Isabella of England in 1311/12 is important, and most likely correct.
