14 Aug 1441: Sir John Cornwall, Lord Fanhope, was granted the keeping of his lands until he came of age [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p36]

Sep 1441: William Tresham and John Hampton, royal officials, secured a new grant for his wardship and lands, and on 18 Dec 1441 Lord Fanhope was ordered to turn over to them any Wodhull farms which he had acquired [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p36]

9 Feb 1455/6: it was agreed that Great Durnford manor, then held for life by Elizabeth Wodhull, and Little Durnford manor, held for life by Richard Wodhull, would ultimately revert to Henry Etwell (John's father-in-law) and his wife Mary and their heirs male, remainder to the right heirs of John. This agreement in effect secured the manors for John as Etwell andhis wife seemed not to have any male heirs and at this date were not lifely to have any [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p36]

1457/8: proved his age, and on 20 Mar 1461/2 it was ordered that he give fealty and receive seisin of his lands [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p36]
