Knt, of Odell, Bedfordshire [Ref: Richardson RoyalAnc v2p156]
Baron of Wodhull, Bedfordshire [Ref: Richardson PA p203]
styled Baron de Wodhull [Ref: Hansen WodhullAdditions p154]
20 Oct 1410: four days before death of father, he released his rights to Great
and Little Durnford and Tytherley manors so that they would go to his brother
and sisters in accordance with their father's will; He reaffirmed the release
on 28 Oct after his father died. Nevertheless, as Tropenell recorded inhis
memorandum of 1482, the "saide Thomas Wodhull... notwithstanding the saide
feoffement of his saide fader, and his oone relece so made to the said
feoffees in fee, entred into all the saide maners..." [Ref: Hansen Wodhull
p31]
following legal action brought by his sisters, a family arrangement was
reached whereby his brother Richard received Little Durnford and
Tytherley, with Thomas as heir should Richard have no issue. Thomas
retained Great Durnford, and his sisters were designated heirs if neither
he nor his brother had surviving issue. [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p31]
