Dec 1 1342: at King's request, Pope Clement VI granted a dispensation for the marriage, although "related to each other in the fourth degree of consanguinity," of the Earl of Sutherland and the Princess Margaret the King's sister of the whole blood. [Ref: CP XII/1 p542]
