genealogists have ignored the fine of 6 Edward II altogether, and assert that the heirs of Sir John FitzBernard were descended from Margaret, whom they variously describe as daughter, or as aunt, of Thomas FitzBernard, and mother of Bartholomew de Badlesmere. Nothing is known about the wife of Guncelin, father of Bartholomew [Ref: CP V p403(b)]
