Research Notes:
enlisted for the Fort William Henry expedition in 1757, and for the French and Indian War in 1759[Ref: Moore AUSTIN p61]

Rev. War: 1st Lieutenant in Capt. George King's Co. of the 1st Berkshire Regt (Col Mark Hopkins) in 1776 and in Capt Peter Ingersoll's Co of the same Regt under Col John Brown in 1777. This was a Regt of "Minute Men" called out only when the war drew close to home. It was called out for two periods of 30 days each in 1777, the last of which included the Battle of Bennington, and for one period of 4 days in 1780. [Ref: Moore AUSTIN p62]
