1215: leased barony of Liddel Strength from uncle, Nicholas [Ref: Sanders Baronies p129]

21 Jun 1219: orders were issued to deliver seisin to Saer earl of Winchester of the land of Liddel which Nicholas de Stuteville had assigned to Eustace son of his brother Tobert de Stuteville until his full age, the custody of which William de Valognes had bequeathed to Saer. Saer gave the custody to his son Roger de Quincy whose right thereto was confirmed on 21 Jul 1220 after Saer's death. [Ref: Farrer EYC v9p17]

1230: his tenants in Cropton and Barton owed 5 marks for the tallage, and he was a benefactor of Rosedale priory and of St Peter's hospital, York [Ref: Farrer EYC v9p17]

1234: came before the king and showed that Nicholas de Stuteville, his uncle, in the county court of York made over the manor of Cottingham as his right, so that he was in seisin thereof for thirteen weeks, and that afterwards he was disseised by the king's will; and he sought justice and such seisin as he had had. 25 Jan 1240/1: appointed as one of the knights in Yorkshire to view the condition of the royal castles [Ref: Farrer EYC v9p17]

2 Nov 1241: seisin of his lands was ordered to be given to Joan wife of Hugh Wake, who had made a fine of 100 li for having seisin thereof; Eustace was described as her kinsman and the lands falling to her by hereditary right [Ref: Farrer EYC v9p18]
