entry appearing in DNB states that he to have belonged to the family of
Zouche of Haryngworth, and that he is generally belieed to have been a
hounger brother of the first Lord, William la Zouche of Haryngworth
(1276-1352). But he was in fact the younger son of Roger la Zouche of
Lubbesthorpe. [Ref: Sheppard ZOUCHE p1]

of these executors... William le Place was probably the husband of
Margaret, daughter of John Lelon by Thomasia, widow of John Dagworth.
Christopher Mallory (from Glover's Visitation of Yorkshire) son of Thomas
Mallory by a daughter of Lord Zouche (unknown). Christopher was probably a
relative of Anketil. Anketil Mallory was married to the Archbishop's sister

document showing the heirs of William were the descendants of the three
daughters of Sir William Zouche, son of his brother Roger, is a grant dated 3
May 1406 of William la Zouche of Haryngworth, which states that Thomas Ashby
has custody, during the minority of Robert, son and heir of Marmaduke
Constable of a third part of the manor of Lubbesthorpe, which manor was held
of the grantor in chief by Marmaduke, Robert St Andrew and Thomas Ashby,
severally and in purparty for an estate in tail by the service of one
knight, they being the heirs of Roger, son of William la Zouche, to whom (the
said Roger) the manor was granted for an estate tail by Milicent de Montault
