1226: held land in Sydenham, co Oxford worth 7 pounds, by gift of Saher de Quincy [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p16]

1240: succeeded to the barony of Wahulle, and paid 100 pounds baronial relief [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p16]

1240: Beatrice, his predecessor's widow, brought an action against him to gain her dower [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p16]

1242/3: barony of Wahull is assessed at thirty fees [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p16]

1242: served with King Henry III in Gascony [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p16]

said to owe the service of 30 knights for the barony of Odell [Ref: Sanders Baronies p69(6)]

1244: assessed 30 pounds on his fees as an aid for the betrothial of Margaret, the king's daughter, to the son of Alexander II, King of Scots [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p16]

1248: Thomas Kynne won his claim to Pateshull manor, but Saher with his family and other supporters, prevented him by armed force from taking possession. On 17 May the sheriff of co Northampton was ordered to arrest Saher and others who had resisted a court's judgement and to hold them in prison until otherwise directed by the king. While the outcome of this confrontation is not known, Pateshull manor remained in the possession of the barons of Wahull [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p16]
