rendered homage to Charles de Blois Duke of Brittany, the duke's governor of Vannes when besieged by the English, he was captured whileleading a sortie, and on being exchanged for Lord Stafford, was arrested on suspicion of entering into a secret agreement with the English during his captivity and beheaded on orders of Philip VI [Ref: Thompson CharlesII v19-66]
