baptized by Rev Mishler at New Bethel Church; witnesses were John Kuntz and Magdalena Virgin [Ref: Harter REICHELDERFER p30]

possible that the fraktur with baptism information (6 May 1771 by Pastor Mischler) is incorrect; that Magdalena was baptized soon after her birth in 1761 or 1762. Peter Mishler (1732-1812) worked in the vicinity of northern Berks Co from abt 1767 to 1772; Rev Daniel Schumacher also worked in that area and recorded several entries for Heinrich and Maria Catharina, including a baptism for "Simon Peter" on 17 Jan 1762. [WTM: name on that record, "Simon Peter" may be wrong, see those notes]. Fraktur was made by Frederick Krebs c1800, long after the event [Ref: Earnest Fraktur]

The legal couple, Mr Henrich Reicheldorfor and his legal wife Maria Latganna, nee Lebegutgin, has a daughter Magdalena who was born in 1761. This Magdalena is born and baptized in America, State of Pennsylvania Berks County in the City of Albany The baptism was performed by Rev Mischler on May 6, 1771. Godparents were John Kuntz and Magdalena Wergin, including Jacob Schumacher as a witness. Translated from German Jul 23 1929, [Ref: NARA-M804 SHOEMAKER Jacob]

Magdalena Reicheldoefer was the daughter of Heinrich and Maria Catharina (Lebenguth) Reicheldoefer. Magdalena was born in Albany Township, Berks County, PA, in 1761. The exact date of birth was left blank. [Ref: Earnest Fraktur]
