In the name of the Beloved Father of All
I Jacob Stableton of the County of Fairfield and State of Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament
Item 1st It is my will that out of my personal estate my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.
Item 2nd It is my desire that my will shall in no manner effect the right of my widow to dower under the law
Item 3rd It is my desire that my children Reuben Stableton, Samuel Stableton, and Sarah Bechtel wife of Frederick Bechtel recieve nothing from estate either real or personal as I have already advanced to each of them about as much as my other heirs will received from my estate.
Item 4th I desire and bequeath to the following of my children to wit Mary, Lidy, Sophia, Anthony and Jeremiah children of my first wife and Legrand a child of my second wife all my Estate both real and personal to them or assigns forever to own and to hold, the same equally and share alike, except that Anthony and Jeremiah are to pay to the other devisers herein named to wit Mary, Lidy, Jacob, Sophiah, and Legrand one hundred dollars each, that is to say to the said five, five hundred dollars which is made a interest on the Land hereby devised to the said Anthony and Jeremiah.
Item 5th My desire contained in the foregoing item to my child Legrand Stepleton is nevertheless subject to the following conditions to wit that is if my wife Elizabeth shall survive me and shall in any maner sell or dispose of her dower or right of dower in any land I shall die siezed or possessed of then the interest in my real and personal estate hereby devised to Legrand is to become vested in Mary, Lidy, Sophia, Jacob, Anthony and Jeremiah, they paying to said Legrand the sum of fifty dollars.
Item 6th In case any of my children to whom I have made bequests in this will shall die without leaving issue, then it is my desire that such other heirs as I have herein made bequests to shall become vested of the estate hereby devised to said child who shall die to have and to hold the same forever
Item 7th It is my desire that the real estate of which I now own shall not be sold until my youngnest child shall arrive at the age of sixteen. In testmony whereof I ahve hereunto set my hand and seal the 25th day of May 1847. Jacob Stableton
