Research Notes:
younger son of Hamon of Chateau-du-Loir; he does not appear as lord of Chateay-du-Loir in the surviving charters [Ref: HenryII rober002 12/31/2007]

apparently did not survive his brother Gervais (d.1067), archbishop of Reims and lord of Chateau-du-Loir, who was evidently followed as lord by Robert's son Gervais II [Ref: HenryII rober002 12/31/2007]

accidently omitted in Winkhaus (1950), who evidently erroneously identified Robert's brother Gervais I with Robert's son Gervais II. This error is occasionally repeated in internet sources which used Winkhaus (1950) as a source. [Ref: HenryII rober002 12/31/2007]
