nephew of Chrodegang, bishop of Metz [Ref: HenryII louis000 8/16/2012]

father-in-law of the later emperor Louis I "the Pious", and a nephew of bishop Chrodegang of Metz. He is called "dux" by Thegan, but just a count by the Astronomer. Nothing is known of Ingram beyond these bare facts. Some call him count of Hesbaye/Haspengau, but that is just a guess based on Chrodegang's place of origin. [Ref: HenryII ingra000 8/16/2012]
